LAS VEGAS CABBIE

I’m a Las Vegas Cabbie, 9 years going on ten
I  work a 12-hour shift, starting at 3 A.M.

It’s a crazy time in Sin City, before the rising  sun
After daybreak it all settles down, most fares heading  home,

I think I’ve seen it all, through my old rear-view
A 15 minute taxi ride is like sitting in a confession booth,

Some guy who hit the jackpot, wanted to pay me in casino chips
And some who lost it all, sit and curse the Vegas strip

1st Chorus

What  happens in Vegas,  stays in Vegas,  so the story  goes
What you did here can  stay a secret,  no one needs to  know
What  happens in Vegas,  stays in Vegas, is what the billboard  said

Party all day and  party all night, you can sleep when you’re dead

Massage parlors and strip joints all pay me referral fees
For the macho guys with money to blow, wanting to sow their seeds

Or pay 100 bucks just to drive out into the desert after they’ve had their fun
And sober up to the sound of silence and watching the rising sun

2ndt Chorus

What  happens in Vegas,  stays in Vegas,  so the story  goes
What you did here can  stay a secret,  no one needs to  know
What  happens in Vegas,  stays in Vegas,  is what the billboard  said

Party all day and  party all night, you can  sleep when you’re dead

I’ve driving a Taxi in Las Vegas, going on 10  years
