Who’s gonna play Trigger, when Willie’s gone
Will he set in some old museum slowly losing his tone
Will he be hanging the wall collecting dust, being only a memory
So, who’s gonna play  Trigger, when Willie’s  gone

He left Nazareth Pennsylvania in nineteen sixty  nine
By pure luck he landed in Nashville right on  time
His fate was decided by the  foot of a drunk, the rest is history
But, who’s gonna play Trigger, when Willie’s  gone

bridge
Just like Willie he’s  survived fifty years on the  road
Nearly  died in a fire at  Ridgetop with some Columbian  gold
Hiding from the IRS up  under Poodles  bed
So, who’s gonna play Trigger, when Willie’s  gone

Who’s gonna play Trigger, when  Willie’s gone
Will he set in some old museum  slowly losing his  tone
Will he be hanging the wall collecting  dust, only someone’s memory
So, who’s gonna play Trigger, when Willie’s  gone
