“Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa
I’m sure ole Hag never understood
They didn’t mention the Massacre at Greenwood

It was 100 years ago today
The Black district of Tulsa was quickly wiped away
White mobs looted and burned 35 blocks
Wilmington all over again, cause the hate never stops

Headlines read a Negro to be lynched tonight
The mobs gathered at the courthouse, to show their might
Veterans came to protect their one of their own
All hell broke loose, and they were sent them back-home

BRIDGE
The signal was given around daybreak
Machine guns, National Guard, whatever it would take
Airplanes with fire-bombs raining down
Such brutality would have even made ole Hitler frown

The people of Tulsa must have been proud
Picture Postcards of running the Negro out of town
Mass graves were dug and bodies dumped in the river
Politicians schemed to write history, all in their favor

“Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa
I’m sure ole Hag never knew the truth
Cause when they wrote the history about Tulsa
They didn’t mention the Massacre at Greenwood
