(COUNTY BOY IS) BACK HOME AGAIN

Plane landed in Charlotte, got in right on time
Picked up my rental car, after putting my name on the line
Grabbed a couple Red Bulls, to keep my brain awake
Headed north to the Virginia line, up  on the interstate

Bridge  Turn right on 57, just  five more miles to go
The sun is going down, so I’ll take it a little slow

1st Chorus:  This old country boy is, back home again
Me and that Crooked Road, we're like the best of friends
Mama’s  waiting up for me, like so many times before
Cause her  country boy is  back home again

Nothing's really changed, since I was last around
Bull Mountain keeps an eye on me on my way to town
Coffee Shop's got internet, so my wife will know
I got home safe and sound and I miss her so

2nd Chorus:  This old country boy is, back home again
Mama's Biscuits and Gravy, is like my best friend
Fix a few things 'round the house, while I'm still in town
Cause this old country boy is back home again

The family got together on Sunday, boy what a crowd
Enough food to feed an Army, more calories than allowed
Make pictures of all the kids, to see how much they've grown
And it dawns on me that the kids now, got kids of their own

3rd Chorus:  This old country boy is, back home again
The House I Call Home, is still my best friend
Someday this will all be, just a memory
When this old country boy was back home again
